A step-by-step guide to renting property
Once we have a clear understanding of your requirements you will receive a selection of properties that match your criteria. We can also keep you constantly up-to-date via email when the latest properties become available.
An increasing number of tenants insist on renting fully managed properties for complete peace of mind.
Renting a managed property has the benefit of a dedicated Property Manager to handle your day-to-day issues, a helpline with emergency contact details should a problem arise and the assurance that your property is fully compliant with all safety regulations.
Viewings can be conducted Monday to Friday 9:30am-6:30pm and Saturday 9:30am-1:30pm
In order to secure a property we recommend an early viewing. We will chauffeur you to your viewings ensuring you arrive in a relaxed frame of mind and accompany you throughout so that we are on hand to answer any questions immediately and advise where necessary.
Once you have identified a suitable property you will be required to complete an application for tenancy where you may state any special conditions of the offer and provide details for your references. We will then communicate this offer to the landlord.
If your offer is accepted we will organise the following regardless of whether your property is managed:
- Collect references from the referees that you have provided
- Collect your moving in payment (rent + deposit)
- Collect your proof of ID and address
- Arrange signing of the Tenancy Agreement
A deposit payment equivalent to 6 weeks rent must be paid in cleared funds when you sign the tenancy agreement. YW will register the deposit with a deposit protection scheme on landlord’s behalf.
Upon completion, you will be given a set of keys and if your property is managed we will provide you with your dedicated Property Manager’s contact details.
